Mad Dogs Rugby Club

The first Mad Dogs match was played on the 15th February 1976 against the King William Pub, Pembury, Tonbridge. The Mad Dogs played in Blue and White Hooped shirts loaned to them by the department of social security (courtesy of Tom Higgins) winning the match 16-12.

The club then developed into an invitation side rather like the famous Barbarians but with players invited from various clubs in the Kent area and beyond. The Mad Dogs are now a keen touring side – Past tours Cayman Islands, Greta Yarmouth, Barbados, Cuba, Cyprus, Portugal, Malta.
